The Public Affairs and Marketing team
works behind the scenes to provide information to residents and
business owners about the City’s projects, goals, and
accomplishments to promote public health and safety and highlight
municipal services. With an experienced design and publications
staff, the division seeks to produce useful and informative print
publications and collateral materials including the quarterly
New Horizons newsletter. The Public Affairs team works with all
City Departments to provide media and public relations support. The
division includes Video Production and Broadcast Services and is
responsible for providing live television coverage of City
Commission meetings, workshops and Community Redevelopment
meetings. The division also handles all requests for film permits
within the City of Hollywood.
As a part of the Office of the City
Manager, the Public Affairs and Marketing staff strive to:

Promote public awareness about City
activities, programs, and projects to increase public participation
and confidence in the functions of City government.

Facilitate media coverage of City
issues, events and functions to stimulate civic involvement and
foster a fair representation of City government.

Distribute daily news information to
City officials and staff.

Provide regularly updated information
to residents, business owners, City officials and staff through
printed publications including New Horizons, the quarterly Inside
Hollywood Employee newsletter and various Department/Office
publications.

Coordinate special events to promote
public safety and highlight City improvements including dedication,
ribbon cutting and groundbreaking ceremonies.
