The City of Hollywood has established a schedule of fees for the duplication of public records in conformance with Chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes, entitled "PUBLIC RECORDS ACT." Chapter 119 sets forth guidelines and fees relating to the duplication of public records, of which the City of Hollywood has adopted and subsequently amended Chapter 39, Section 39.01, entitled "Public Records," of the Code of Ordinances (O-96-30) to establish a fee structure for the duplication of public records entitled "Charges for Copying."

The City shall collect the actual cost for making copies and/or reproductions of active, inactive and/or archival public documents consistent with Chapter 119, Florida Statutes. However, where the nature or volume of such records requires extensive use of information technology resources, clerical or supervisory assistance, or both, a special service charge based upon the labor cost actually incurred in providing such copies shall be assessed in addition to the actual cost of the reproduction of documents. (Refer to R-97-155)

Revenue:
All revenue collected by the City Clerk's Office and the Records and Archives Division generated through public records fees and services will be deposited into the City's Preservation Trust Fund (Fund 60) to be utilized for the preservation of the City's archival documents and materials.

Photographic Duplication:

Reproductions of photographs or other images may be obtained from the Archives collections. Charges are based upon costs incurred by the City from our vendor who has been employed to reproduce photographs and negatives. Please indicate what size (i.e. 8" x 10") and coloration (i.e. black and white, color or sepia) of photographs you desire. All photos obtained from the Archives must have the following citation: Courtesy of the City of Hollywood, FL, Records and Archives Division.

Video and Audio Tapes:
Fees for copies of video and audio tapes are based upon cost incurred from the vendor the City utilizes to produce the copies. In some instances it may be possible for the City Clerk's Office or the Records and Archives Division to produce copies of audio tapes. Please inquire prior to requesting copies.

Electronic Records :
Fees for copies of electronic records vary, because they are based upon costs of tapes, discs, data extraction or other special programming requirements.
