Late Payments:

Payment of your utility bill is due by the date indicated on your bill. The City assesses a late payment penalty of 1% per month (12% annually) on any past due portion of the utility bill. Customers receive one courtesy reminder notice stating that payment must be received within 5 days or the customer's water service will be disconnected. Upon becoming past due, utility charges constitute a variable and accruable Statutory lien against the property. These past due charges may be recorded as a lien with Broward County, but are not required to be recorded to be effective and binding.

Miscellaneous Charges:

• Returned check charge of $15 or 5%, whichever greater. 
• Service disconnection charge for non payment - $35 per occurrence.
• Anytime that you reconnect your service after 4 pm weekdays or on weekends or holidays, there will be an additional reconnect charge of $50.
