Adam Gruber

Biography


Adam Gruber moved to Hollywood, Florida with his family from Montreal, Canada in 1978. He graduated from Hollywood Hills High School in 1992 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science degree in Athletic Administration from Lynn University. All three of his children were born and raised here in Hollywood. He was first elected to the Hollywood City Commission in 2020. Commissioner Gruber has been an active part of the community for many years through both his professional and personal life and is a “people over politics” kind of person.

 

Commissioner Gruber leads an active life of service. He strongly believes that there is no greater gift than the gift of helping others and he dedicates himself to helping those in need. He has been and remains active in charitable causes throughout the Broward County area, including political and community organizations. He participates in activities geared toward propelling individuals and local businesses forward. He is the Elected official representative and board member, for the City of Hollywood’s Affordable Housing Advisory Committee. He is also the City of Hollywood’s elected official representative on the Broward County Continuum of Care Board for homelessness.

 

Since 2013, Commissioner Gruber has maintained the position of Executive Director at Radius Resource Group, LLC, a security company specializing in Executive Protection and Retail store security. He also has in-depth experience working with RealMark Research, a marketing and consulting firm that specialized in Real Estate Feasibility Studies and provided Marketing related expert witness testimony for Eminent Domain cases. Commissioner Gruber worked with RealMark Research, a family-owned local business, for many years. He also has extensive production and special events experience. 

 

In his free time, Adam enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, surfing and watching all the local professional and college teams compete, whether in person at the games or on television.
