Late Payments
Payment of your utility bill is due by the date indicated on your bill. The city assesses a late payment penalty of 1% per month (12% annually) on any past due portion of the utility bill.
Past Due Charges
Upon becoming past due, utility charges constitute a variable and accrued statutory lien against the property. These past due charges may be recorded as a lien with Broward County, but are not required to be recorded to be effective and binding.
Returned Payment
- Returned payment charge of $15 or 5%, whichever is greater.
