[ARCHIVED] Traffic Alert: N. Park Road Sidewalk & Roadway Improvement and S. 52nd Ave Paving Project

Traffic Alert

Full Roadway Closures Planned for S. 52nd Ave just south of Washington Street

Portions of S. 52nd Ave. just south of Washington Street and the roundabout that was constructed on Hillcrest Drive and its intersection with Parkview Drive will be closing fully while drainage and paving work is being done. Work will be done in a phased approach with an anticipated roadway closure schedule as follows:

The drainage work and its associated trench restoration schedule is as follows:

Duration (days)

Start Date

Finish Date

Phase 1

Phase 2

Phase 3

Phase 4

Please note: this schedule does not include the removal and replacement of the concrete driveways, sidewalk installations, curb installations, milling and resurfacing of the intersection or pavement striping and signage. Motorist should seek an alternate route around full roadway closures to avoid delays. Flagmen and detours will be in place to re-route traffic around the construction zone.

Roadway & Sidewalk Improvements

Construction has begun along North Park Road between Sheridan Street and Oak Drive near TY Park. This construction project includes swale restoration, milling and resurfacing of the
existing roadway, new pavement markings, and sidewalk replacement.
Access to all properties will be maintained, however the new concrete will take time to cure so immediate access to driveways and sidewalks will be limited after concrete placement. In order to accommodate any inconvenience this may cause, temporary parking in the swale adjacent to private property will be permitted. It is anticipate driveway closures will not last longer than 48 hours.
The City, Weekley Asphalt, and Tectonic Group International appreciates your patience during this community improvement. FOr questions, please contract:
