Congratulations to Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts (PRCA) staff on their recent reaccreditation by the National Recreation and Parks Association’s Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA). The department has been CAPRA accredited every 5-years since 2010 by complying with more than 150 standards for management systems and best practices. Standards include having a Parks Master Plan, ADA Transition Plan, Risk Management Policy and more. There are currently only 197 accredited parks and recreation agencies in the United States, and Hollywood is proudly only one of 26 in the state of Florida. Spend some time enjoying a City park!
