In an effort to enable residents more time to visit the shelter to adopt or foster pets, the Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center is expanding its weekend hours to be open from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The extended hours will also allow residents the ability to purchase a Broward County license tag, drop off a lost pet, or be reunited with their dog or cat.
The Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center is located at 2400 SW 42nd Street in Fort Lauderdale. The new hours of operation are as follows:
- Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Closed for lunch from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
- Closed on Mondays
- Clinic hours for foster pet checks is on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
