Its primary responsibility is to review and evaluate all funding requests under the Community Development Block Grant and other grant funds to assist in creating the City's Five Year Consolidated Plan and One Year Action Plan. CDAB Mission Statement:
The Community Development Advisory Board serves in an advisory capacity to the City Commission on matters pertaining to federal and state community development grant funds. Its primary responsibilities are to review and evaluate all funding requests under the Community Development Block Grant and other grant funds, to assist in identifying strategic goals in the development of the City's Five Year Consolidated Plan and One Year Action Plan, and to consider and evaluate the effectiveness of funded programs and activities.

“The Community Development Advisory Board will evaluate and identify gaps in services and priority items as well as to recommend activities for the promotion and support of Community Development activities” This Goal Statement was adopted by the CDAB in January 2019.
