1. Are dogs allowed on the beach?

Dogs are allowed on Hollywood Beach, only between Pershing and Custer Streets. Dog Beach is free and open 7-days a week from sunrise to sunset. *Hours may be extended based on Lifeguard staffing.           

Dog Beach Rules 

• Owners are legally responsible for their dog(s) at all times
• Owners must control their dog(s) at all times
• Owners are responsible for waste cleanup
• Dogs must have a current rabies tag
• Dogs must be leashed anywhere outside Dog Beach
• City is not responsible for injury or damage
• Use and enjoy the dog beach at your own risk
• Help keep the beach clean.  Clean up after yourself 
• Park Rangers and Lifeguards are authorized to advise any person or dog to leave these premises 

Lightning is a severe hazard. Immediately exit the beach when lightning is observed and/or thunder is heard.

2. Is a permit required to be married on the beach?

Yes, if you are setting up anything on the beach you must obtain a permit through our Special Events Division.

3. Is alcohol allowed in the Parks?

No. Alcohol is not permitted in any City of Hollywood Parks.

4. How do I rent a Community Center?

5. How do I reserve a pavilion and is there a fee?

To reserve a pavilion, call 954.921.3404. Reservations may only be made with full payment. You must visit the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Department Main Office located at 1405 S 28 Avenue, Hollywood, FL 33020, Monday through Thursday 7:00 am – 6:00 pm. The fee schedule for reserving a pavilion are available at Pavilion Information. Major credit cards and/or money order accepted. 6. Is a bounce house permitted at a park?

Bounce houses are allowed at some of the City of Hollywood parks with a permit from the. All vendors must supply the City of Hollywood with a certificate of liability insurance indicating the City as an additional insured.
