Broward County is hosting a household hazardous waste and electronics recycling drop-off event in the southwest quadrant of City Hall, 2600 Hollywood Boulevard for Hollywood residents on Sunday, April 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Residents must provide proof of Hollywood residency, which may include a driver’s license, utility bill or tax bill for participation. Help keep Hollywood Beach beautiful by volunteering for the Hollywood Beach Sweep Clean-Up on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 7:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Charnow Park, 300 Connecticut Street and the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. Volunteers meet to collect litter and cigarette butts from the sandy beach. Volunteers are asked complete the registration form found on the City’s website under Beach Sweep. Children, ages 8 and older, are welcome to participate when accompanied by an adult. Gloves and garbage bags are provided to all volunteers along with safety instructions. Remember to dress appropriately, wear sunscreen and bring a completed registration form with you

The paint supply has been secured from Broward County allowing Operation Paintbrush to take place. Paint distribution takes place at 1600 S. Park Road at the Public Works Compound from 8 am until noon while supplies last. Up to 20 gallons of high quality recycled exterior latex paint is available to single-family homeowners who provide their driver’s license and a current utility bill as proof of residency in the City of Hollywood. The paint colors currently being offered are off white, beige, terracotta, gray, and turquoise. Please Note: This is not a paint drop off site. You must dispose of your old paint at the Broward County Household Hazardous Waste Residential Drop Off facility located at 5601 W. Hallandale Beach Boulevard on Saturdays only from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
